This painting is the first in series of two paintings, I painted in two consecutive days. The other painting is called “Africa”. In this painting, I wanted to deviate from an “all over” abstract style, by giving space to more of breathing room on the canvas. I used very thin glaze of blue to cover almost half of the canvas. This painting is the second in series of two paintings, I painted in two consecutive days. The other painting is called “Listen”. In this painting, I wanted to create an atmosphere of a harsh African desert having dry trees. In addition to creating an over all mode of history in an ancient surroundings.
Back to Acrylics
This was my first abstract painting in acrylics after abandoning acrylic paint for ten months and painting only in oils.
When I first started working on this painting, I applied colours on the canvas by using different brushes, up to some point where I got frustrated with the painting and didn’t know what to do with it.
